One Suffolk plan revealed

Today we published our OneSuffolk proposal replacing 6 councils with ONE new unitary authority.

  • £39.4m saved each year reinvested for frontline services

  • £40m capital investment in Market Towns

  • Council tax harmonised to the lowest level

OneSuffolk is the chance to:

  • Empower communities with funding + powers for town & parish councils

  • Deliver a proactive highways service that says “yes” more

  • Give Suffolk a stronger voice through collaboration with the new mayor

Why OneSuffolk instead of THREE councils?

  • 3 councils will cost £145.3m more than today’s system

  • Postcode lottery for vulnerable residents: 3 councils will disaggregate vital services like adult social care & children’s services.
